Hello! My name is Kathleen Palmieri and I am an educator in upstate New York.
I have taught 4th, 6th, and have been teaching 5th grade for the past 14 years. In 2019 I became a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) earning my certification as a Middle Child Generalist. With hopes to help others become a NBCT, I became a National Board Professional Learning Facilitator.
My interest in education spans all subject areas. I have presented at math conferences, writing workshops, and participated in reading conferences. I read and review professional books, as well as write articles about education practices and my teaching experiences. These opportunities have given me new passion for teaching, preparing, and supporting educators.
I am passionate about educational policy and practice representing teachers at the local union level, being vocal via social media and networking on national issues. Knowledge is power!
I created this website as a platform to share thoughts and ideas. All ideas and opinions expressed are my own. I hope you find this to be a stimulating and welcoming community where best practices, educational technology, books, and so much more will be shared.
My favorite mantra is, “She believed she could, so she did”. Let’s share and support each other on our path toward excellence!
